History of the Group
The Scottish Group was established in 1928 at a conference held in St Andrews for "the sons of Master Printers and those training for important administrative positions". Since that time, the Group has developed and introduced a number of changes, including altering the title from 'Young Master Printer' to 'Young Managing Printer' to reflect the increasing emphasis on commercial ability, and that the members of the Scottish YMP are the managers of the future.
